The EFCC, has said that the spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party is still in the detention because he has refuse to admit and return the ‘over #400 million’ public fund he allegedly received from the embattled former National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, denied the claims that the commission is on witch hunt for leaders of the opposition party,PDP, after its continue to detain of Metuh while Jafaru Isa, an All Progressives Congress chieftain has been release.
Magu said the Commission is not selective in its anti-corruption war, noting that only people involved in “some certain action or inaction of corruption” are being invited for questioning.

Magu said Mr. Isa who was with the EFCC for almost 5 days agreed that he received #170 million from Dasuki and has started the process of refunding the money in which he has deposited #100million already and also" entered an undertaking to bring the rest. That does not mean we will not prosecute him."

on the other hand has remained adamant and has refuse to refund over #400 million of public funds in his possession and "instead of going for a refund, he has admitted he collected money, he still has the money because the money is too much. Instead of returning the money, he preferred to go on strike.”
