Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, the former Secretary to the Federal Government, has written a letter to the President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday, December 7, 2015 requesting for more security around himself as a result of the allegations against him that he was responsible for the pro-Biafra protest going on in Nigeria.He expressed his concerns over the plot against him and his fellows in the letter addressed to the President. He said the plotters are a number of hirelings that also get involve the services of others to act as their undercover agents.
He said he had watched watched their plans revealed "in the last five months" and it is now necessary for him to raise an alarm "because their next move could be dangerous and deadly."
He also said that he might not reveal the identities of the suspected brains behind the plot but that a "clear presentation of their mode of operation will provide a useful lead to the investigating authorities.”
Ayim further explained in the letter that the plotters intend carrying out their deeds by first of all formulating defamatory and scandalous petitions against him on any matter they could directly or indirectly link to him in order to catch the government attention..
He also claimed that they had earlier made an "incoherent, reckless and baseless,” allegations against him which focused on corruption with the Centnery City project as their primary target or anything related to the Secretary to to the Federal Government.
He said further that some media houses are part of the networks to promote the dirty plan.
Senator Ayim also claim that the plotters sponsored groups for media conferences, online streaming, publications and political programs.
He wrote in the letter that it is a matter of importance "at this point to bring to your excellency’s attention, a dangerous news story published by an online medium captioned: ‘Former Secretary to the Federal Government, Pius Anyim Under Investigation over Allegation that he is Funding pro-Biafra Protests (December 2, 2015)." And that “The story is part is part of this grand plan to impugn my integrity, and set me up against the Federal Government of Nigeria and other Nigerian stakeholders.”
