The Administration and Facilities Managements Division (AFMD) focuses on strengthening the capacity to track,
manage, report, and plan facilities operations of AUC. In line with this, a Computerized Automated Facilities
Management system (ARCHIBUS) has been implemented for the effective management of Facilities in a very
cost-effective manner.
In seeking to achieve these objectives, the African Union intends to strengthen its capacity to deliver, by hiring
expertise to fully utilize the various features of the ARCHIBUS system.

Requirements:
Qualifications and Work Experience Required:
B.sc degree in Electrical Engineering or other engineering related fields
Certified on ARCHIBUS System Administration
3 years’ experience in specifically on the ARCHIBUS system
Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
Responsiveness, responsibility and risk awareness
Good communication skill and positive attitude
Interpersonal and excellent team orientation skills
Certificate on CCNA and other Application of IT area.

Task/Job Description
System administrator works on system wide issues the ARCHIBUS administrator
Focuses on user specific issues such as setting up users and assigning process, roles and tasks to users and
supervision of the work activities of ARCHIBUS Operators and users.
The responsibilities for the tasks are such as:
Developing and maintaining system configuration for all users 
Monitor and ensure availability of all hardware, 
Server resources and thesks
System;
Develop and maintain operational and configuration manuals and procedures for different modules;
Updating application, upgrading, troubleshooting and solving problems in server
and desktops;
Configuring the security service;
Manage users workstation and
Install /rebuild/repair the system

Remuneration: GSA Step 5.
              US$ 50,148.39

Appointment/Contract Tenure: Short Term,
The appointment will be made on a short term contract for a period of eleven months (11). It will be renewable according to the need and availability of budget.
