Talking about how Jonathan's administration responded to the girl's abduction, Ogebe said, the response was a total failure and disaterous because instead of addressing the issues at hand, the government adopted conspiracy theories by attacking the girls' parents claiming it was the opposition who were out to rubbish you.Emmanuel Ogebe who missed death by the whiskers under late General Sani Abacha’s dictatorship for his outspokenness against the government, said the GEJ administration’s response to the Chibok girls case was a colossal failure.
Ogebe said that a lot of money was spent by Jonathan government fighting the campaign to claim that the girls abduction was all a conspiracy rather assisting the cause of the girls.
He said further that it was in the US publications that the Nigerian government spent over $4, 000, 000 last year alone lobbying while many of the parents of these abducted girls have died.
He mentioned that in order to launder their image, according to premiumtimes, Jonathan and his team went to hire PR companies and a lot was pent by the government to fight the campaign instead of assisting the girls' cause.
"One of the fathers that I met last year, his two daughters were abducted, only for me to be informed this year that the terrorist came back and took his two sons again. Another father I met just died in November. More than half of our 10 girls have lost at least 10 family members in one year including three parents,"He said
