NIGERIAN EX-COACH DIES AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS

It was announced that Austin Akosa popularly known as ‘Sussie’ is dead according to Thisday. He was during his life an ex-President of the Nigeria Coaches Association who retired from the National Sports Commission, where he served as organizing secretary  on many National federations, including the Nigeria Football Association during the Nigeria Civil War.

His brother,Chuka Akosa,broke the news about his death,  that he died on 16, January 2016 after a brief illness, he was born in 1941. 

He served during his career as match commissioner in  top soccer engagements in many African countries. He was also  a notable figure at the Nigeria Lawn Tennis Association in 1974, and also the Nigeria Table Tennis Association. 

The family will make Burial plans public in due time.
