PRESIDENT BUHARI CLOSE ALLY ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH $2.1 BILLION ARMS DEAL FRAUD

Jafaru Isah
Jafaru Isah,  a former Military Administrator of Kaduna State between 1993 to 1996, under the regime of General Sani Abacha and one-time governorship candidate of the defunct CPC in Kano State, is the first chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to be arrested by the EFCC since the start of probe into the alleged  $2.1 billion  meant for arms purchase was diverted by officials of the immediate-past administration.

He was arrested  by operatives of the anti-graft commission on Wednesday night in his Abuja residence when he failed to honour EFCC invitation in connection to some money traced to his account.

It was reported that, though Isah is a close ally who has been with the President the period of ANPP to CPC before both of them joined  the All progressive People's Congress, the President has remained focused and committed to dealing with whoever is  involved in corruption decisively.

A Presidential aide who spoke with Vanguard said the closeness between the President Isah, the President  knew nothing about the alleged #100 million collected from  the ex-NSA's  Office.

More so, it was  said that Isah have a close relationship with Sambo  Dasuki and it is not confirmed yet if the #100 million involved was given to him based on their closeness for some contracts or otherwise.
