2016 BUDGET IS MISSING: BUHARI AND SARAKI HAVE A CLOSED DOOR MEETING

President Muhammadu Buhari and the Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki met today  in the Presidential Villa, Abuja to have a closed doors meeting.

When the Senate President was  approached by reporters for an interview, he showed hie was ready to answer their questions.

The said meeting  lasted for about 30 minutes after which the State House correspondents who had already gathered in front of the President’s Office before the meeting ended to ask the Senate President Questions on what it was all about.

PUNCH reports that  Saraki’s visit came a few minutes after the news broke that the 2016 Budget document had been declared missing in the National Assembly.

But all efforts made by the reporters to make him speak on the matter did not yield any result as his security detail quickly shut the door and the car drove off.

However, when asked about the report that the budget was missing, Saraki expressed surprise but declined to comment.

“Ha! ha! ha!”, he exclaimed, before quickly rushing into his waiting car without answering the question.
