STELLA ODUAH DISAGREES WITH PDP OVER 2016 BUDGET

While Stella Odua's party, PDP, condemned and berated the 2016 budget presented to the National Assembly by President, Mohammodu Buhari on Tuesday 22, with the fact that the budget was "a fraud and an executive conspiracy"   trying only to use its "phantom capital" projects as a cover to siphon the funds to satisfy partisan interests and settle huge campaign debts, Stella has a contrary opinion.

Senator Stella Oduah (Anambra-North Senatorial District), in a statement distributed to reporters, described the budget as “very robust and seemingly thorough and well-thought out,” and said it will hopefully address many of the economic and security problems the country is  facing currently.

She expressed her delight in the fact that the budget tacklesmain problems concerning the rural communities, also that as the President have touched on areas that included the boosting of oil and non-oil revenues; efficient collection and enforcement of VAT and customs duties; and the subsidized funding of the agricultural and solid mineral sectors, she said 2016 would indeed set a new path for the country.
