FG VOWS TO FIND THE ABDUCTED CHIBOK GIRLS

Nigerians take part in a protest demanding for the release of secondary school girls abducted from the remote village of Chibok, in Asokoro, Abuja May 13, 2014. U.S. surveillance aircraft were flying over remote areas of northeast Nigeria as part of an international hunt for about 200 girls kidnapped a month ago by Boko Haram militants who stormed their school. The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, SAN, Tuesday, however made a promise that President Muhammadu Buhari's administration would do all within its power to make sure that the over 200 missing Chibok ‎girls safely return.

Speaking when the #BringBackOurGirls# campaign movement visited his office in Abuja yesterday, Malami said, the girls abduction is “tormenting and psychologically traumatising” for the country‎.

He noted that President Muhammadu Buhari 's government "has demonstrated sufficient skill and commitment to the protection of lives and property within the shortest practicable time of coming into existence, it has recorded tremendous success including confronting Sambisa forest head-on with the hope rescuing the Chibok girls.”
