The ladies among the corps members serving in Enugu and Ebonyi states were said to have been raped by their attackers who reportedly blocked the highway to stop vehicles.
One of the victims of the attack while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu on Friday said the robbers who attacked their bus disguised as policemen.
She said that their bus left Television Garage in Kaduna around 8:30pm and was attacked a few kilometres away from the garage.
The victim also said a road block was mounted by the robbers to give the impression that they were policemen on duty but by the time the driver of the bus knew they were not policemen and tried to escape it was already too late which made the robbers to descend on the ladies “robbers sensing what our driver wanted to do, left other cars and descended on us, ”said one of the ladies.
And that all the female corps members in the bus were forcefully raped by the robbers as well as taking all their belongings including laptops, jewelries, handsets, foodstuffs and money.
