| 13months old baby sexually assaulted to death by her father |
Poppi Worthington was left with serious injuries after being sexually abused at her home in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria, and rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead in December 2012.Her father, Paul Worthington, 47, was arrested and questioned on suspicion of sexual assault but never charged with any offence. But Paul denied ever having anything to do with it.
But it was later revealed today in a fact-finding judgement by the High Court family judge Mr Justice Peter Jackson found that - on the balance of probabilities - The 13-month-old was sexually assaulted by him shortly before her death.a senior pathologist raising concerns the girl's injuries were caused by 'a penetrative sexual assault'...
It was reported by UK Mirror that on December 12 2012, Poppi awoke screaming at around 5.45am, according to her father, and an ambulance was called.
On admission to hospital and at a post-mortem examination the youngster was found to have an earlier fracture of her right lower leg and suspected acute injuries to her bottom.
