Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State launched a contributory scheme, known as “Pay Small Small Scheme”, for Hajj and Jerusalem pilgrimage for prospective pilgrims in the state yesterday 21 December; he explained that the scheme is part of his administration policy to make pilgrimage possible for everyone to participate in irrespective of their financial status or class.
Governor Ambode was represented at the scheme launch by the Lagos Commissioner for Home Affairs, Dr. AbdulHakeem AbdulLateef, who said that the scheme would make it possible for petty traders and other low income earners to fulfill their religious rites more conveniently as well as a way of making the people feel the impact of the government.
He further promised his commitment to make like easier for Lagosians and also promised them that more approaches would be undertaken by his administration to make life meaninfulr for the citizen irrespective of their tribe or religious differences
Medview Airline Managing Director was also honoured at the occasion for partnering with Lagos State government in airlifting pilgrims in the state
