BROILER PECKS ITS BUYER TO COMA IN DELTA

On Friday, a big broiler on sale with others in a plaza in Asaba, Delta State, allegedly pecked it potential buyer on his eyes until the buyer collapsed. The buyer was said to have fell to the ground immediately breathing heavily before he was qiuickly rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Asaba.

According to the seller, simply known as mama Ekene, she said that the buyer agreed to buy the broiler for #3,000 after initial haggling but what happened next surprised her as the broiler "pecked the man in his right eye as he attempted to tie it. He fell down immediately and I had to raise the alarm for help.”
Mrs. Celestina Kalu, Police PRO in Delta state, also confirmed the incident and said the way and manner the broiler attacked the victim was really baffling and that the seller had been arrested by police to help with further investigations.

The Police PRO further said  that the victim, who is  still receiving treatment at the FMC Asaba "is still in coma. The bird removed part of the flesh in the buyer’s eye and inflicted a deep cut in that part."
